The Forsaken Desert

Any old shaman can tell you the story: once, seven
massive beings called Titans roamed the world. All magic
and power was contained within them, and they coexisted
peacefully with humans, their lifeforce making the world
hospitable and balanced. But that was a long time ago.
Humans started to lose faith that the Titans were doing
anything at all beyond taking up space. As their belief
started to fade, the Titans began to die off, until the only
signs that they’d ever existed were their colossal remains.
Without the Titans alive, the world turned to sand, the
magic they contained within them seeping out and
becoming a tool or weapon of mortals.
